Vista

Well on vista…..comfortable to use and user friendly.it looks cool to me,with effects,but it has got much less resistence to the viruses.a virus attack always created a big mess on my laptop and due to this i had to recover my system many times.Whenever there is an attack i suffer with registry problems,which disable my taskbar,task managerand many other controls.It is comfortable to use but not stable.Even the RAM usage is also high.It is about 700MB to 850 MB.

On comparing it with windows xp,i think that the kernel of xp is much more stable than vista.now i am looking forward to check windows 7.i heard that it is based on xp kernel.i have gone through it but that was only beta version.

confusion confusion…..

I have interacted with lot of people regarding difference in open source and windows.what i found is that people always start comparing between the two.I dont understand why the hell people start comparison.what i feel is windows and linux both have its own advantages.for an example if a person loves to play highly graphics game which windows can support(i dont deny that it wont be possible to play games on linux platform but i guess it will take lot of time for developers to make that possible),then  i believe windows overtake linux.But think from a learner’s(basically student’s) point of view.If he/she wants to learn or research on operating system then linux is the best platform.In this case linux overtake windows.
